FOREST DIVISION OF CAPITAL PROJECT ADMINISTRATION

One Forest Division has been established in 1986 under Capital Project Administration exclusively for the work of Capital Project with the intention of making Bhopal, the heart city of India, with Iush greenery and to provide an pollution free environment.

Achievements

Under this Division, the plantation work of Bhopal and its surrounding areas is going on very successfully. Upto the year 2000-01, this division has planted about 28 lakhs plants mainly in the following areas.

Char Imli area.

The area between new Vidhan Bhawan and Mantralaya (Vallabh Bhawan)

Maintenance of 2,93,626 plants which was planted previously in different parts of the city.

Planted 1,61,571 plants on road side and open space.

Planted 1,02000 plants in different parts of the city under Gas Rahat planning.

Planted 18,28287 plants under the Bhojwet land scheme.

During 2000-01, plantation work was done in two new places, namely road side from Gautam Nagar to Shbhash Nagar and infront of Income Tax Bhawan. In these two places about 2500 plants are planted. In addition to this, after repairing 7500 RM. fencing, about 3000 plants are planted in 15 different areas of old plantation.

Besides these, plantation work has been done by this division in different Education, institutions and other Govt. organization without charging any cost.
