VALLABH BHAWAN (MANTRALAYA)

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS AND IMPORTANT BUILDING OF Madhya Pradesh Government and was constructed in the year 1962 under Construction Division No.II of CPA. The Architectural services for this building were provided by the Chief Architect, MP P W D. The constructed area of the building is 30020.49 Sqm. Click for enlarged view

This building houses the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Ministers, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries Deputy Secretaries and other officers and employees of various department.

Various other offices such as Bank, Post Office, Telecom office, hospital etc. are functioning in Vallabh Bhawan to facilitate the Mantralaya workers and officers and employees.

The construction of conference hall, cabinet hall, committee room, security office, Restaurant etc. are also done in this building.

The maintenance and other works are being done by CPA.

MADHYA PRADESH ACADEMY OF ADMINISTRATION

in the campus for officers/employees. The main building has been completed in the year 1982 with a cost of about Rs. 110.97 lakhs and the constructed area is about 18952.56 Sqm. The maintenance and other works of this campus is being done by Capital Project Administration.





SANSKRITI BHAWAN

This four storied building of cultural department was constructed by Capital Project Administration with a cost of Rs. 191,30,600/- only in the year 1992. The built up area of main building is 3880 Sqm. with a car parking built area of 1020 Sqm. The building was handed over to P.W.D. Division No. 3 in the year 1995 for maintenance.






GOVERNMENT GEETANJALI GIRLS DEGREE COLLEGE

The Geetanjali girls degree college was founded in 1986 in memory of the late daughter of the former Presidentg

of India His highness late Dr.Shankar Dayal Sharma. It is situated in the old city of Bhopal. The construction was completed by Construction Division No. 2, of the CPA in 1992. The college campus has a well furnished Auditorium, Administrative block, Girls hostel and play grounds. The college building was inaugurated by the then President of India His Highness Shri Rama Swami Venkata Raman in the presence of the then vice President of India His Highness Late Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma on 17th February 1992.

At present about 2000 students are studying in the college. From the point of view of higher studies, MCA, BCA, BCC, MPGDCA and other job oriented faculties are started in this college. This is the first girls college to start the MCA. This degree college adds to the glory of the old Bhopal city.

MANTRALAYA POLICE FIRE STATION

Now a days fire fighting services is very essential to fight any
eventuality due to fire. As almost all the important buildings of Madhya Pradesh state such as Mantralaya (Vallabh Bhawan), Vidhan Bhawan, HOD buildings are located in area Hills, it was felt for a fire station at this locality. Thus, the police fire station was constructed with a cost of Rs. 75.00 lakhs in the year 2001. The architectural services were provided by M/s Arvind Associates. The constructed area is about 1158.60 Sqm. The building consists of control room, office room, training center and garages for fire engine.

There is also one sump well for storing water for the use of vehicle.

REHABILITATION OF JHUGGIES AT AKBARPUR KOLAR ROAD, BHOPAL

The plots of 15'x30' size were developed for rehabilitation of Jhuggies of Om Nagar situated near New Vidhan Bhawan during the period of 1996-97. Each plot is provided with a platform and W.C. Sheet with sewer lines connected to septic tanks. The main road is W.B.M. and internal roads are stone pitched roads. Nalla, drains and culverts are constructed for disposal of water. A community hall is constructed for the habitants. G.I. pipe lines are laid for distribution of drinking water. A pump house is also constructed for the same purpose. Electrification for the colony has also been done. The Administrative Approval was given for Rs.155.00 Lacs by the Govt. of M P letter No. 13-6/32/95 dt. 28 May 1998. The expenditure on Civil work is 1,21,83,000/-

The above colony was handed over to Urban Welfare deptt. on 22.8.98.

CONSTRUCTION OF DIRECTORATE OF GEOLOGY AND MINING DEPARTMENT

The construction of the building is going on at Arera Hills near central school. The proposed building consists of five floors. At present, the construction of basement, ground floor and First floor has been taken up and is in progress.

The Architectural services are provided by the Chief Architect, M P P W D and the structural details are supplied by M/s Skeltan Structural Engineers, Indore.

The estimated cost of the building is Rs. 9467 lakhs.

WATER AND LAND MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE (WALMI)

Capital Project Administration has completed different construction work of above building, which is located in the hill area of Kaliasote Dam, with a cost of Rs. 687.39 lakhs. The main construction works are as follows :

Administrative and Hostel buildings :

Administrative approval for these buildings is for Rs. 346.63 lakhs and Technical sanction is for Rs. 332.18 lakhs.

Administrative Building

The constructed area of the building is 6685.49 Sqm. and the construction cost of the building is Rs. 214.50 lakhs.

This building houses Agriculture Officers/Scientists and officers/Employees of Irrigation department, Technical section, Laboratory, library and lecturer hall.

Training to officers/employees of Irrigation and Agriculture officers are given here by the Senior Scientists and officers of the nation. This Institution is also giving training to employees and farmers of the state and make them aware how the agricultural production will increase by utilizing the available water and land properly.

Hostel Building :

The Hostel building provides accommodation as well as food to the trainees. The constructed area of this building is 3091.40 sqm. and the construction cost is Rs. 99.50 lakhs.

Community Hall :

To encourage cultural and sports activities of the trainees this building is constructed with a cost of Rs. 46.99 lakhs. It also consists of Badminton court, Tennis hall and a stage. The constructed area is 1305 sqm. The Administrative approval for this work is for Rs. 64 lakhs and the Technical sanction is for Rs. 59.91 lakhs.

Bungalows and Quarters :

To provide accommodation to officers and employees, different type of bungalows/quarters viz.; 2 'E', 4 'F', 10 'G', 20 'H' and 50 'I" type quarters are constructed in this campus with a cost of Rs. 140.68 lakhs.

All the above works have been completed in the year 1993-94 and handed over to the institution.

MADHYA PRADESH TEXT BOOK CORPORATION

Office building of M.P. Text book corporation is located at Arera Hills in an area of 1.29 acres of land. The building constructed in two phases.

In the IInd phase, the construction of IInd, IIIrd and IVth floor was taken up and completed on 31.3.2001. The Architectural services were provided by C.B.R.I Roodkie.

The whole work was completed with a cost of about Rs. 371.55 lakhs. The 'A' block of the building is accommodating the head quarter of M.P. Text Book Corporation and the building is named as 'Pustak Bhawan'. Rajiv Gandhi Education Mission and other related offices to it are functioning in 'B' block. The total constructed area of the building is 7864.33 Sqm.

BABE ALI STADIUM

For construction of Babe-Ali stadium, Administrative approval of Rs.210.75 lakh accorded by M.P. sports

department in the year 1992 in which Rs. 78.75 lakh will be sponsored by Govt of India sports department and Rs. 73 lakh by Govt of M.P. Housing & Environment Department. West side Tier work completed and 50% work of tier on North side is also completed and handed over to Sports department.

TRIBAL BUILDING

Administrative approval of Tribal building accorded by Govt of M.P. Tribal department of Rs. 200 lakhs in year 1995 and revised administrative approval of Rs. 469.43 lakhs in year 1999 and location of the building is at Shamla Hills. The building was completed in year 1999 and its floor area is 7622.16 Sqm. The building is constructed in two blocks, one block consists of three floor and the other block of four floors. The building is handed over to Tribal Department in the year 2000.

RAJIV GANDHI BHAWAN

Administrative approval of the above building was accorded in year 1999 for Rs. 123.70 lakh and revised
administrative approval by the Tribal department is accorded for Rs. 287.27 lakhs. Building was completed in the year 1995. Building consists of three floors having floor area of 5770.80 Sqm. The building was handed over to the Tribal department in the year 1995.

 

T.T. NAGAR STADIUM

Administrative approval of Rs. 815.00 lakh was accorded by sports department in year 1994 and revised estimate of Rs. 2535.40 lakh submitted to Director of sports in year 1996. The revised sanction is awaited from Sports Department. Rs. 1484.25 lakh received by Capital Project Administration and expenditure incurred is Rs. 1872.05 lakh for the construction of Athletic stadium and Dormitory hall; Subway of synthetic Track and foot ball Track, External watery supply Indoor hall; Volley ball court, Basket ball court and Tennis court, fencing and gate. Rest of amount not received from sports Department. The work handed over to Sports authority in the year 1999.

VINDHYACHAL BHAWAN

Vindhyachal Bhawan is situated on Arera Hills by the left side of the Mantralaya Bhawan. It was constructed at a cost of Rs. 495.00 lakhs in the year 1982. The Architectural services were provided by M/s Kothari Associates, New Delhi. This building has a basement, ground floor and six floors. In this building 20 departments are housing their offices of the head of the department. Besides these, for the benefit of the employees, canteen, Bank, Telephone exchange, Record room, Dispensary etc. are also provided in the building. The maintenance and other works are being carried out by Capital Project Administration.

MADHYA PRADESH NIRVACHAN SADAN

The Madhya Pradesh Nirvachan Sadan building was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Dr. M.S.Gill, Chief Election Commissioner of India on 7th March 2001. The building is situated on Arera Hills and constructed at a cost of Rs. 196.92 lakhs. The drawings and designs were provided by EPCO. The building is located on the ridge of the hilly terrain where from one can have landscape view of old as well as the new Bhopal.

The building consists of basement and four floors. Basement is mainly for godown. An air-conditioned conference hall for 100 persons, Reception, lounge and the chamber of Assistant CEO is provided on the ground floor. The CEO chamber, Jt. CEO chamber and their offices, canteen computer room, Guest house and a dormitory for 15 persons are provided in the building.

 

SATPURA BHAWAN

Satpura Building is situated on the Arera hills by the right side of the Mantralaya building. It was constructed at a cost of Rs. 461.61 lakhs in the year 1982. The Architectural services for this building was provided by Kothari Associates, New Delhi. This building has basement, Ground floor and six floors. In this building 20 departments are housing their offices of the head of the department. Besides these, for the benefit of the employees, canteen, Bank, Telephone exchange, post office, Treasury etc. are also provided. This building is maintained by Capital Project Administration.

BHARAT BHAWAN

Bhopal is a city of versatile art and culture. There was a long felt need to establish a multi art centre with a view to promote various arts and the artists, so as to make this dream came true, the Capital Project Administration invited Shri Charles Korea a leading architect of the nation. Finally the "Bharat Bhawan' was constructed on the bank of the Bhopal lake. The relentless efforts of the Engineers of Capital Project Administration bore the fruits in the form of Bharat Bhawan. It was completed in 1981-82 at an expense of Rs. 147.00 lakhs and is spread over an area of 9968 sqm.

Bharat Bhawan was inaugurated by Smt Indira Gandhi, the late Prime Minister of India on 13 January 1983. It is a matter of pride for the CPA that Smt Indira Gandhi addressed Bhopal as 'Art capital of the nation' during her inaugural speech.

The State Government celebrates the anniversary of Bharat Bhawan with grandeur. During this celebration awards and titles are distributed to eminent personalities in various area of classic and fine arts.

A token fee of Rs. 10/- is charged from the visitors to the art gallery. The children under five years of age are allowed free. During first February to thirty first October it remain open from 2 P M to 8 P M from first November to Thirty first January the timings are from 1 PM to 7 PM. On Fridays all the visitors irrespective of age are allowed free. It is closed on every Monday and on Central Govt holidays.

INDIRA GANDHI MAHILA EVAM BAL CHIKITSALAYA

Building of Indira Gandhi Mahila Evam Bal Chikitsalaya situated in campus of Sultania Janana Hospital. This building constructed for providing medical facilities to Gas Victims. This building has plinth area of 9000 sq.m. Hospital Building has provision of 100 beds, OPD, X-ray theatre etc. The total cost of the project was Rs. 614.10 lakhs. Building was completed in 1994 and has been handed over to Chief Medical Officer Gas Rahat.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING INSTITUTE

Industrial Training Institute (ITI) is situated on Bhopal-Raisen Road in the campus of old I.T.I. Govindpura, Bhopal.

The building have plinth area of 18,958.34 sq.m. as well as 62 staff quarters of various type having plinth area of 5,033.26 sq.m. The total cost of the project is Rs. 863.53 lakhs. The building has been completed in the year 1995 and handedover to Jt. Director Gas Relief and Rehabilitation Department, Bhopal.
