PRIYADARSHINI PARK

The construction of Priyadarshini park was started with the joint planning of Capital Project Administration and Environmental Planning Co-ordination as a juncture place of old and new Bhopal city. Within a short time span, it has been developed as a park in the name of the then Prime minister late Smt. Indira Gandhi. This park is situated in the middle of the Bhopal near Ravindra Bhawan, Raj Bhawan, C M Bungalow, Shyamla Hills, Professor Colony and Even Mullah Ramuji Sanskriti Bhawan with umbrellas, sprawling lawns, lush green compound safeguarded with walls. The land scape view of the park looks like a feet of a beautiful woman. The construction of the park was done in the year 1990-91, with a cost of Rs. 155.00 lakhs.

This park is made available to conduct marriage and other functions by Housing and Environment department of Government of M.P. The rent of the park is Rs. 12,000/- per day and Rs. 10,000/- is its security deposit. The security deposit is returned after the programme, if there is no damage to the park.

The timings of the park for the public is as follows :-

Evening 3.00 PM to 7.00 PM 3.00 PM to 9.00 PM

The park remains closed on Saturdays.

MAYUR PARK

To safeguard from the pollution and to give a healthy environment to the city, the need of parks were necessary. With the view point of above and to provide entertainment to the public, Capital Project Administrationdeveloped a park named as Mayur park near Jai Prakash Hospital in the year 1974-75, at a cost of Rs. 150.00 lakhs. Sprawling lawns fountains, children's park with playing equipment's,shelter place for the national bird peacock and other birds are the attractions of the park. To add the natural beauty of the park, flowering plants and fruit plants are planted and maintained. National exhibitions of flowers cactus exhibition and Bonsai exhibitions have been organizing in this park. It is a pride of the department that shooting of many serials which produced in Bhopal were also done in this park. In the evening, this park is attracted by the people of the city like a festival place. During summer season the park opens at 5.00 A.M. to 9.00 AM in the morning and from 3.00 PM to 10.00 PM in the evening and in winter season, it opens from 6.00 AM to 9.00 AM in the morning and in the evening from 3.00 PM to 8.00 PM. The park remains closed on Wednesdays.

SHRI GURU GOVIND SINGH PARK

Shri Guru Govind Singh Park is situated near by the Shahpura lake on about 80 acres of land. It is an environmental Park having its own beauty. This park was formerly known as Ekant Park. Water streams and sprawling lawns add to the natural beauty of the park. Pathways and sitting arrangements are also provided in the park. The park is entirely covered with natural plants and trees of botanical importance. This lush green park was developed at a cost of Rs. 244.30 lakhs and is maintained by capital Project Administration.

The timings of the park to the public is from 5.00 AM to 9.00 AM in the morning and from 4.00 PM to 8.00 PM in the evening during simmer season and from 6.00 AM to 10.00 AM in the morning and from 4.00 PM to 8.00 PM in the evening during winter season, on week days. On Sundays the park remains open from 6.00 AM to 8.00 PM. The park remains closed on Mondays.

CHINAR PARK
